Birth Centers in the triangle
Birthing Suite at North Carolina Birth Center in Chapel Hill
In the past decade, I’ve seen birth centers open and close throughout the state. Many community members continue to grieve the closing of Women’s Birth & Wellness Center in Chapel Hill, in addition to other centers that closed their doors during COVID. Fortunately, the Triangle is seeing new options for birthing folks seeking out of hospital birth.
North Carolina Birth Center located in Chapel Hill, recently opened its doors and is currently accepting patients with due dates in November 2025 and beyond. NCBC is conveniently located at the same location previously occupied by WBWC, continuing a legacy of physiological birth for our community. In addition to birth suites equipped with birth tubs, NCBC will also have a shower, TENS units, & nitrous oxide available to their patients. The center will offer classes & event space in addition to a full size kitchen & living room for families to use during their stay. North Carolina Birth Center will be offering community classes and events in their community space, Gather 104. I will begin offering my Holistic Birth class in the space this fall! Transferring hospital is UNC-Chapel Hill.
